Hello

I'm Chandler King and I love helping people live a more fulfilled life with their dog. My mission is to help people create a relationship with their dog that is built on mutual trust and respect. When we humans open our minds to the amazing things dogs are capable of, specifically our own dogs, we set the foundation for a bond that is truly unique. I can't wait to help you on your own journey toward a deeper relationship with your dog.

My Story

I started learning about dog training in 2014 when I joined an organization whose members were able to learn how to raise and train service dogs. As a college student, the concept of taking a dog to class with me was so exciting that I got involved in learning right away. In May 2015, after spending as much time as possible going through my learning requirements and handling dogs in training whenever the opportunity arose, I got a call asking if I was ready to raise a puppy for the organization myself. My life hasn't been the same since!

I have no regrets about having a dog by my side almost constantly since that time. Learning from so many dogs is how I discovered my path in life and how I ended up here, where I am able to help you with your dog! And I am still to this day seeking out learning opportunities wherever I can be it through books, courses, seminars, mentors, or fellow trainers.

I have three amazing dogs, Faron a lab, Terra a doodle, and Minnie a poodle. When Minnie was 1 1/2 to 2 years old she started having persistent GI issues that led to a lot of testing which ultimately didn't find any diagnosis. But even without a diagnosis, her health issues persisted and started manifesting in behavioral issues as well including starting fights with her housemates. Our journey towards a healthy dog and a peaceful house brought me to the Canine Human Relationship Institute which is where the bulk of my in-person study since December 2021 has been. In October of 2022, I went through the immersive Relationship Based Behavior Modification Course 2, in which I got to live with a rescue husky for 9 days full of both class time and hands-on learning. I continue to pursue the courses that the Canine Human Relationship Institute has to offer as I see the huge value they have had in my own home as well as in the homes of my clients.

It is my hope that I can help as many dogs as possible by changing the way their humans relate to them and helping them build trust and connection through both obedience and true behavioral change. I would love to talk with you about what your dog needs and if I could be the right fit for you!
